Ding dong, the witch is dead! Which old witch? The wicked witch! By which, of course, I mean that there's new content up at the House of Lime - America's Next Top Model - Season 1, Episode 7
I returned home from Kansas City to an irate newt. I didn't even know that he was aware of my presence. I assumed he just accepted food that falls from the sky and that was that. But when I came home from two days away, he refused to eat, which is unusual for him. It took three pellets and some begging over the course of several hours before he surfaced to grab the food. Aw, Vivian. I didn't know you cared.
Season 2 of The Amazing Race ends tonight. The last team I could truly root for got hit with the tragic fourth-place curse, so now I don't really care who wins. And we begin the whole rigmarole again tomorrow with the premiere of Season 3. You can tell that I've been watching far too much Amazing Race lately, as my brain narrated my journey to Kansas City in true TAR style. "Teams must make their way to the Central West End metro station. From there, they will have to purchase a ticket to the East Terminal of the airport. What they do not know is that they must endure several obnoxious pre-teens on the train. Once at the airport, teams will have to wrestle with the ticketless travel kiosk, security, and 14,000 families who are leaving for Orlando at the same gate. After arriving in Kansas City, teams will need to locate a pregnant woman who is belligerent due to being denied peanuts for the next nine months." And so on.
I called the "special friend" who's got an in at SBC, and he was very helpful in providing information and some contact numbers, plus he gets a little bonus or something for referring me. Everyone wins! I should hopefully be set up with DSL at home by next Friday, barring any disasters. I'm fully prepared for disasters, though. I mean, come on. It's Southwestern Bell. They'll fuck something up.
